David Onder

David has worked in healthcare for nearly two decades, beginning his nursing career after graduating from nursing school in 2009. After spending 13 years primarily in the emergency department, he witnessed firsthand the profound impact that mental health conditions have on individuals, families, and communities. This experience inspired him to pursue advanced training in psychiatry, and in 2022 he earned his Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University with a specialization as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

David provides evaluation and treatment for a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety disorders, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), insomnia, and other mood and behavioral health concerns. His approach is patient-centered, evidence-based, and tailored to the unique needs of each individual.

Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach, David takes a thoughtful and nuanced view of psychiatric treatment. While medication can be an important tool for many patients, he believes that the best treatment plan is the one that aligns with a patient's symptoms, goals, and preferences. In some cases, this may involve medication management; in others, it may involve education, lifestyle modifications, psychotherapy referrals, or careful observation without medication. His goal is to help patients make informed decisions and achieve meaningful, lasting improvements in their mental health and overall quality of life through a collaborative therapeutic partnership.
